There is Always, Always, Always.. Something I Need To. Want to. Have to…

horse-racing-4“Better is one day in Your courts, than a thousand elsewhere..”

Psalm 84:10

There is always, always, always, something I need to do, have to do, should do, or want to do… Always.. Right?

I find that the first few thoughts before getting out of bed in the morning are for sure going to set the pace for my entire day… When I let these thoughts run rapid… I’m doomed!  If you know what I mean?  My heart starts racing, and stress starts to creep in… it’s like I’m one of those horses waiting for the shoot to open at the Kentucky Derby… and the second I put my feet on the floor..I’m off!

 Ugggg!!

If you can relate to this, I’m so sorry for us!  ha ha ha

When I think about being in His Courts, I imagine a beautiful court-yard, ivy growing, lush green grass, flowers.. the sound of flowing water.. my heart slowly turns toward the stillness of nature, of soaking in the tranquility of who God is, and the amazing beauty He has authored all around us. From the mountains and the oceans, to the birds and butterflies, the beautiful simplicity of the world’s landscape,my heart begins to quiet down, and I am drawn to His presence…

In saying all of that, it my prayer for us that our first few thoughts in the morning will be turned toward God’s majesty… To whisper a prayer of thanks to Him for this new day, and for the opportunity to start fresh… leaving all of the have to, need to, want to’s at His feet, and asking Him to guide our steps.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for another new and beautiful day.  May we know you are walking with us, guiding us, and very much aware of all the pressures pulling at our heart and day.. May we seek Your presence above all else, trusting You as You guide and protect our path. Help us to be still in you presence, and enjoy your peace that surpasses all understanding..

Php 4:7

We love You, and need You…

In Jesus Name, Amen!

God Bless you,

Dear Friend,

Lisa
