Letting Your Gentleness Invade My Soul…

just keep swimming “Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near..”

Philippians 4:7

I love that scripture.

When my heart is feeling overwhelmed, stress or worry fighting to get in, I can see Jesus’ gentleness and kindness piercing the darkness and reminding me He is near…

No need to be worried, anxious or uptight…

(As Dori, the fish, said to Nemo :)

Just keep swimming…

“Let your gentleness be evident to all..”

Philippians 4:4

These words can pierce the darkness if you let them..  to let my gentleness be evident to those around me means I’m not fighting the battle… I am happily handing over my worries in exchange for His peace, and in turn His gentleness and spirit shine through my life… my heart and my very being…

This scripture continues…

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all, The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..”

Philippians 4: 4-7

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this new day.  Thank you so much that Your gentleness can consume and invade my soul and change my worry into thanksgiving and hope in who you are.. I thank You for Your peace that transcends all understanding, and praise You the You are guarding my heart and my mind..  Thank You so much for sending Jesus, Your precious Son, to cover my sin and live in my heart…

May you use my life to love others as You have loved me…

Rejoicing in who You are,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“Come near to God and He will come near to you… humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up..”

James 4:8-9

  1. Dear Lisa,
I was just scrolling around and suddenly saw your picture of just keep swimming. It caught my eye and then I read “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” As I read your post I cried – I was so overwhelmed and grateful for his ways in my life! I got a sign on my nightstand that says “God’s plans for your life far exceed the circumstances of your day” and this is so true! I feel so precious and loved because he is the joy of my life, my peace, my constant, my rock, my friend and my everything! I’m German and I looked up Phillipians 4:4-7 in my bible and I just read this letter maybe a month ago and marked these lines as well! The Lord is greater than our imaginations and he guides us and I’m so proud to call you my sister in Christ! See you heaven! Be blessed! Love and prayers, Deborah
