Letting go..

just believeLetting go.

Trusting.  Believing there Is something; Someone bigger than us..

Taking the world off of our shoulders, and laying down all of the weight that comes with having to be in control…

I love, love. love that..

” Finally, I confessed all of my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them.. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord” And You forgave me!  All my guilt is gone”

Psalm 32:5

What does that like for you?

Do You have guilt?

Or…

Maybe your heart is exhausted by trying to hold everything together.  You have tried to ignore and push down feelings of pain, fear, or anger for so long, you have lost sight of what is good.. what is right… what is trustworthy… you have become numb and have protected your heart for so long that feelings of trust aren’t even an option…

I have so so been there…

But God, in His amazing love, has reached down from heaven and asked us to trust.

To trust Him.

Trust Him enough to surrender..

Surrender feelings of guilt.. because guilt is not from our Heavenly Father…

Surrender feelings of control.  Self reliance.  unworthiness; or pride.

All not from our Heavenly Father…

Let them all go… One at a time.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You this new beautiful day wanting to let go.  Wanting to live in the light of Your beauty and hope.  Please forgive my guilt.  Please forgive my heart that cries out, “I have to do this on my own”  I need You. Please forgive my self-reliance, my fear of unworthiness. Cleanse me of all of my pride that clings to my soul and pushes me away from You..

I need Your protection, Heavenly Father.  I trust in You… and You alone.

Thank you for holding my heart in your hands… Thank you for turning my heart, mind and soul toward Your tender loving care.  Thank you for holding me close, and that I can trust You to walk before me, after me; and that You already have my life in Your hands.

I declare that I am Yours.

May I walk in Your peace, trust in Your goodness, and let my light shine to other’s that are weary and in need of Your hope…

I love You, Jesus…

In Your Name I pray,

Amen

Psalm 32:7  “For You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble.  You surround me with songs of victory.”

Psalm 32:8  “The Lord says, :I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.  I will advise you and watch over you..”

Eph 2:4-5 “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.. it is by grace you have been saved..”

Eph 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves.  It is the gift of God not by works so that no one can boast.”

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight..”

He loves You.  You can trust Him…

Have an amazing day!

The King and I …

the king and I“When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town, learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisees house, she brought and alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears.  Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them…”

Luke 7:37

How my heart craves, and deeply feels  the love this woman had for her King… I can picture her desperation.. Her pain, and the amazing hope she saw in who Jesus was…

Can you picture her?

From the back of the room, we see a beautiful woman enter; her long beautiful hair draped in a veil…  She is walking gingerly; carrying a beautiful Alabaster jar filled with her precious perfume…

Jesus cannot see her coming, but she sees him….she has her eyes fixed intensely on Him.  As she is making her way through these men, these Religious leaders, These Pharisees…   she can feel their haughty eyes piercing through her.  She knew who was in this room before she walked in the door, but nothing or anyone would keep her from coming to Him.. She very well knew what they would be thinking  about her…

she could feel their disgust.

But there she was…crying, shaking.  The crowd starts to whisper to each other, voices become low and quiet.  She reaches Jesus, she is standing behind Him, weeping at His feet, she bends down low, and begins to wet His feet with her tears, and wipe them clean with her hair.

The room has gotten strangely quiet…

She begins gently kissing His feet, opening her beautiful jar of perfume, she begins to, ever so lovingly, pour it over His feet…  There she stood, completely broken,

completely vulnerable…

There was nowhere else she wanted to be.

No where…

She must have felt so safe in His presence.  Nothing could have hurt her more, or torn her heart apart any more; than the life she was living…   Not their words, thoughts or anything they could have said or done..  She knew who she was.. what she had become… Nothing could keep her away from the love she felt from Him.

It’s personal.  Our faith.  Our walk… Our Journey.  If you are willing to lay down your heart, your Heavenly Father, will gently, lovingly… carefully pick up each broken piece…

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you this new day, longing to trust you as this beautiful woman… this known sinner did.  To walk into your chambers broken, wanting and completely needing You. No more hiding, No more secrets.. No hidden motives or agenda.  Just complete abandonment…

I surrender all…

I give you all of the broken pieces, all the lies, heartache and pain.. Oh Lord, I am standing with open hands… naked and needing You to fill my heart…

May I be a woman after Your own heart.. Unafraid. Cleansed and ready to live my life in Your presence.. filled with Your love; and excited to be the woman You know I am.  The woman you created me to be…

May I live my life in love, hope and harmony because You are my Salvation, hope and redeemer…

How I love You,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“The King is enthralled by your beauty, Honor Him for He is your Lord..”

Psalm 45:11

“Create in me a clean heart, Oh Lord, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.. Do not cast me from your presence..”

Psalm 51:10

“The Lord search light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive..”

Proverbs 20:27

We are free in His presence…

Out of the shadows and into the light.

I love you, Sweet Friend…

Dismayed…

daughter of the kingDismayed:

To break down the courage of completely, as by sudden danger or trouble; dishearten thoroughly..

“So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand…”

Isaiah 41:10

What beautiful words to a heart full of fear… worry, or regret.

These tender and comforting words have become the cornerstone of my faith.  As I look back at the times of panic in my life; God has recalled these words to my heart over and over again… How precious and needed they have been.

Dismay, fear, sadness and sometimes regret; are all feelings that lead to a sense of hopelessness, but  God in His sweet goodness seeks our hearts and knows our thoughts… He pours His truth in and covers our pain with His soothing words of comfort and hope…

What amazing grace for sure!

Oh, Lord, how I thank you for your words of truth.  You search us and know us. You, Dear Heavenly Father, are always the first to reach out and draw us into Your loving arms..  May our hearts be bent toward You… Not fearful. Not angry.  But ready to grab Your hand of grace with conviction and hope, in our weakness You are strong.  Thank You for being my rock and redeemer.. my friend, and my ally… I couldn’t imagine doing life without Your beauty, strength and grace..

How I love You, Jesus

Amen

“Draw near to God and He will Draw near to you..”

James 4:8

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts..”

Psalm 139:23

” For in the day of trouble He will keep you safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock..”

Psalm 27: 5

This is a beautiful song, by Michael W. Smith, called, “Draw me close to You” … Enjoy and let God fill your heart with His amazing beauty and grace…

Happy Wednesday :)

I’m Fine…

freaked outI’m fine!

How many times have I used these two words to stop a conversation!  Oh, about a million zillion!  Lol

Have you ever seen the movie “The Italian Job?”   So, we were channel surfing the other night, and we’re like,

“Hey, what movie is this?”

Anything that has Mark Walburg is in has to be kinda funny..

Anyway, the scene we were watching seriously caught my attention.  A group of people were in a van getting their “spy ware” on.  The girl was about to go undercover as a Cable TV repair woman in a gangster’s house.  As she was getting her things together, one of the guys says… “Are you ok?”   They were all super nervous, and there was no way she was okay…

Duhh… LOL She’s going in a gangster’s house!

But in typical woman  form, ( forgive me if you are not like this)  she super quickly bites back,  “I’m fine..”  They all stop.  The camera shows each guy looking at her.. all not comfortable with her response…   Mark Walburg, (huge fan:)) says…

“You know what that means don’t you?”

The tension is released as she smiles and shakes her head nervously and repeats with

Him…

Freaked out

Insecure

Neurotic

Emotional

“F I N E”

My inner bratyness was like, whoa!

It’s like putting your hand out and shouting STOP talking to me!

I am freaking out, and I don’t want to talk to YOU about it…

I immediately felt convicted of how that must make my husband feel.. Just like in the scene from the movie; whenever, “I’m fine“,  it is totally obvious I am not fine at all! Lol I am obviously Freaked out  about something… super Insecure because for some reason I just want to protect myself, and definitely Emotional because I just want to be alone, and neurotic  because I don’t know how to respond to the situation that is penetrating my mind!

And my husband just wants to love me…

I don’t want to do that anymore..  Walls are built with our words.  They can draw us to each other for comfort and support, or they can push us away. The person on the other end of the  “Fine” is left in the cold… pushed away and felt not to be important… Ouch!  Loving other’s as ourselves means just that… I don’t want to feel pushed away, or standing naked or vulnerable in isolation from someone I love… especially when I know they are hurting, that’s just mean….

Okay…. I got this! :)

It seems like when I am hurt, convicted or vulnerable.. I am FINE…

Which means, I am not “fine” at all!  Hahaha  and the other person, who loves me, already knows I am not fine… so who am I kidding! Lol!!!

Oh, Lord, help me today to use my words to bring love, hope and harmony… I am so thankful that you opened my eyes, and my heart to how hurtful those two little words can be to the people I love… It is my heart’s desire to be beautiful in Your eyes.. and that is not so beautiful… Lol

Feeling much better to get that off my chest!

I love You so much, Jesus, your beauty and grace give music to my heart..

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Ephesians 5:29  “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.  Get rid of all bitterness rage and anger, brawling and slander , along with every form of malice.  Be kind and compassionate to one another…”

Psalm 119: 171-172  “May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees.  May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.”
