It Is A Joy to Honor You…

its a joy to honor you blog“Brothers, think of what you were when you were called.  Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

He chose the lowly things of this world, and the despised things – and the things that are not- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him… Therefore, as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord..”

1 Corinthians 1 26-31

I love this reminder.  When we start to think we have to be someone we are not, or when pressure starts to build that we should have it all together” by now”, this scripture reminds me I am safe in my Father’s arms..

He chose us for His good purposes, and I am so very thankful I don’t have to carry the pressure of having it all together..

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You.. I need You, and I thank You for Your constant comfort.

What a blessing and a joy, to know that You accept me just as I am.  I thank You for all of the good things You are doing in my heart and in my life..

The love You have poured so generously in my heart,  and the goodness You have instilled in my mind..

All from You…

How I pray that my words and my life would honor you..

Thank You for Your sweet grace..

And thank You for making me a woman after Your own heart..

Fully dependent on You, and fully washed by Your grace…

It is a joy to boast in all that You have created in me..

And I thank You,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

“He does not treat as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities, for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him,  as far as from the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we were formed, He remembers that we are dust..”

Psalm 103: 1-14
