I woke up surrounded by a cloud of confusion…

Unsure of  why I felt so distant from God’s peace and care…

You know that feeling?

Maybe you can’t put  your finger on it…  but something is holding you back from approaching God…

You feel hesitant to come into His presence…

Stuck, and fearful we walk away… waiting to feel good enough…

My  thoughts are calling me to fall on my knees… to let  His mighty power overfill, and overflow my heart…

But my heart stands in the door way and blocks His grace…

It’s my heart…

My heart feels unsure, protected, and guarded.

Reminding me I am not good enough…or have not done enough, or sacrificed enough to deserve God’s care…

Reminding me I could get hurt, if God doesn’t meet me…

It’s a lie…

Fear is a liar…

“When you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”

Jeremiah 29:13

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

“I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you.  I said, “You are my servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you..”

Isaiah 41:9

With these words, I brush myself off…

Standing humbly in His presence, I let Him cover me with truth…

Fill me with courage, and surround me with strength…

Father,

I am Yours…

I am chosen.  Loved.

Redeemed…

You called me by name, and set a path before me.

How I praise Your Holy name…

How I praise Your love and goodness…

Thank You for reminding me that the heart is deceitful… full of every kind of emotion…

All the wonderful things we are made of… and, yet, all the fears that want to protect me from trusting you…

Today, once again, I lay my heart in Your hands…

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”

Jeremiah 17:9

I will trust in You…

And You alone…

Thank You for Your power.

Thank You for Your grace…

Thank You for whispering my name, and not letting me walk away…

Each morning, from the first foggy moment when we open my eyes,

God’s love embraces our hearts, and encompasses our days…

His love abounds and reaches from the Heavens, kisses us on the cheek and says…

“Good Morning, little one…

I can’t wait to see what I have in-store for you today…”

Heavenly Father,

I want to open my heart to my day being way better than I imagined, open to laugh, learn, and hold my loved ones near…

Cleanse me from my yesterday…

And prepare my way for today…

Your love is my life line…

I praise and adore You…

“For the Lord God is a sun and a shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.

No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

Psalm 84:11

Thank You for the brightness of Your love, and the shield of Your wings…

How I praise You for Your favor.. goodness and mercies…

Help me to embrace today, and live it to the fullest…

Bound by God’s promises, and sealed by His oath…

Oh what a beautiful God…

Oh what a beautiful love…

“When people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it.

And without any question that oath is binding.

God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind.

So God has given us both His promise and His oath.

These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie.

Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge, can take new courage, for we can hold on to His promise with confidence.

This confidence is like a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.

It leads us through the curtain of heaven, into God’s inner sanctuary, 

Jesus has already gone in there for us…”

Unchangeable…

Jesus…

How beautiful are these words…

Heavenly Father,

The sweetness of Your might sends a shiver down my spine…

The hope of the Heavens glistens in my mind…

You are unchangeable..

Trustworthy and true…

You broke the chains that bound, and You set me free.

May my life be simple…filled with love.

May I walk with You well…

May each imprint of my soul be pleasing  unto thy…

Thank You for Your promise of salvation…

Thank You for Your promises of  freedom and forgiveness…

I give You my today…My heart and my hope…

May Your love shine through this life of mine…

Loving others doesn’t have to be complicated…

Loving others is a fruit of the Holy Spirit,  which is planted in our hearts by God’s own breath…

He, Himself, plants the seeds of hope, and kindness… patience, and peace.

Take care to water and nurture this beautiful garden God has planted…

So full of joy, and brilliance… color and light…

Father,

This love You breathe into my heart fills me with such peace…

Your love is the most beautiful arrangement of beauty and hope I could have ever dreamed of…

So bold… So brilliant..

forgiving and true…

On those days when I am struggling to love, I am noticing it is because I forgot to water my garden in the days behind me…

Your brilliance is dying out… and drying out…

Oh Lord,

May Your love never leave me…

I will seek to water my garden a little each day…

May Your brilliance and light shine bright…

I don’t want to waste my days in the dried up dirt of darkness and pain.

I want to love others…

Not judge, worry or complain…

Standing at my kitchen sink, finishing up the dishes from the eve, my heart was a

thousand miles away, in a far away land of distraction and unrest…

I woke up like from a dream… I heard myself say…“Breath deep God’s goodness, Girl…”

As I stood there over my sink, looking out my backdoor, I took a long… slow, deep breath…

then, with the same control, I let it out..

My heart whispered… Breathing out Your grace…

Thank You, Father,  for this warm embrace…

In the beauty of this unannounced moment, tears filled my eyes, and love covered my

soul..

He is near…

“This is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God.

Let us cling to Him and never stop trusting Him.”
