Believe… #Christmaslove

beleive in the magic of christmas

“I am the Lord’s servant,”

Mary answered, “May it be to me as you have said,”

Then the angel left her.”

Luke 1:38

The simple beauty in Mary’s response speaks depths to my heart…

She simply accepted Truth…

She humbled herself completely to what was to be…

No more questions..

No more analyzing…

Her deep love for God was purely enough.

Oh Lord,

Good morning, and thank You…

Thank You for such love and acceptance.

As we draw into Your courts this new day,  I find a yearning deep within my soul…

A yearning to cling and be fearless in all that You are…

May Mary’s relationship with You forever change me..

Her trust…

Her complete humbleness of spirit, and sweet desire to please You, set a fire in my spirit that burns of passion, love, and hope…

During this Christmas season, Oh Lord, my heart and my focus is in knowing You deeper…

Trusting You more readily…

And daily whispering these words to my soul..

“I am the Lord’s servant,”

Mary answered, “May it be to me as you have said,”

Luke 1:38

I love you,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

So Much Love… #Christmaslove

i wish all of you peace and so much love

“Greetings, you who are highly favored!  The Lord is with you.”

Mary was greatly troubled at his words, and wondered what kind of greeting that might be.

But the angle said to her, “Do not be afraid,  Mary,  you have found favor with God.

You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus..”

Luke 1:30-32

There is so much amazingness  going on in this paragraph, isn’t there?!

So many surprises…

So much beauty…

So much love…

Mary was told she was favored…

That the Lord was with her…

That must have taken her breath away…

yet…. as she was processing the moment, fear seemed to be grip her heart…

“Mary was greatly troubled at his words, and wondered what kind of greeting that might be.

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid,  Mary,  you have found favor with God.”

How truly beautiful…

How truly comforting…

I have often struggled with the word “favor

I’ve been afraid to accept it into my life for fear of pride, or self righteousness…but, What I see in Mary’s answer highlights a different motive…

Love…

Her deep love, and respect for the Lord…

God’s favor to Mary was for His glory…

By her accepting and humbling herself, God was able to use Mary’s life for His utmost and highest purpose…

She had only one question…

She asked the angel,

“How will this be, since I am a virgin?”

Luke 1:34

And the angel explained…

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you.

So the Holy one born will be called the son of God.

Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.”

“For noting is impossible with God.”

Luke 1:35-37

The day you and I accepted Jesus into our hearts…

The day we cried out to our Savior for forgiveness for our sins, and the guilt of our deepest pain…

The day we humbled ourselves in the presence of God Almighty, and kneeled  before the king…

That was the day He overshadowed us with His presence…

The day He entered our hearts…

The day He showed us favor.

Dear Heavenly Father,

How could this be?

How could such love come to me?

I will never forget the warmth of Your touch, and the calmness of Your presence filling my soul…

I could feel Your love filling me to overflowing… tears running down my face as I felt Your sweet embrace…

So much love…

So much grace…

How I pray, Dear Lord, that we would accept Your favor…

Humbly, passionately, and with great expectation…

May we repeat unto You the same response Mary had…

” I am the Lord’s servant” Mary said,  “May it be to me as You have said…”

Luke 1:38

Keeping my eyes on You, Oh Lord….

In Jesus Name,

I pray,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

The Most Wonderful Time of The Year… #Christmaslove

its the most wondeful time of the year

Well Hello December!!

It’s nice to see you again :)

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year…

Our Savior, redeemer.. hope…. and very best friend is about to make His appearance…

Our peace is in His humble birth…

When I picture  Jesus’ tiny little body all wrapped in blankets, and  laying in the straw… His mom and dad so lovingly adoring His tiny preciousness…

For a moment the world stands still…

My spirit is filled with the warmth of God’s  sweet tenderness…

So very peaceful…

So very powerful…

Oh Father,

How exciting it is to think of the blessings You have bestowed on our sin stained hearts…

With the very first breath of Jesus…. You called our names…

Thank You.

Thank You for showing us what our lives are about…

Not money.

Not possessions…

Not wealth or success…

Our lives are all about You…

Your love…

Your goodness, gentleness, and amazing forgiveness…

When You bestowed grace upon my broken heart, My life began to make sense..

So much love …

So  many tears…

It wasn’t about my failures or fears anymore…

I felt love…

Today, and the month of December, I hope to help us see the glorious life God has shown us…

Let’s put ourselves in Mary’s dress…

Let’s  listen with her as the angel, Gabriel,  touches her, and gives her the most amazing news she could ever imagine…

“In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to e married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.

The virgin’s name was Mary.  The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly  favored!

The Lord is with you…”

Mary was deeply troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.  But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary you have found favor with God.

You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.”

Luke 1: 26-31

Father, as we enter this Holiday season, it is my prayer to keep my eyes securely fixed on all the beauty of love…

All the beauty of goodness…

I pray I will slow down.. be aware…  and love others with my words, a smile, and attention…

May our  hearts and days reflect Your love.. grace and humility as we enter December with gratitude and joy…

Thank You for Your favor being poured over our lives…

Help us to accept such a marvelous gift…Remembering that YOUR presence… is the very best present we can share with one another..

In Jesus Name,

I pray,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa
