Walk by Choice… #Arise

Your Path

Is Broken

And Crooked

And Just As It

Should Be

 

When we walk in the presence of our Holy God, It is always by choice…

When we call out to Him we are making a conscious choice to be seen…

To be heard..

To listen.

And to worship…

We are inviting Him into your day…

Understanding that it  is a decision, not a feeling is freedom!

Feelings are influenced by all sorts of stuff… hunger, being tired, medications, sadness, loneliness…ect..

Feeling are not the boss of us!  Haha :)

God is.

God’s love.

God’s hope, and God’s plans are always the same.

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord;

They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

God loves you.

A lot!

“I love the Lord because He hears my voice; He heard my cry for mercy.

Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”

Psalm 116:1-2

He bends low and listens to every breath you take…and knows your words even before you speak them…

Rest in Him.

He wants You to let Him touch your heart, and to carry your burden..

He has set your heart, and your life, free the pain of our failures…

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us..”

Psalm 103:12

He has promised you that you will be in Heaven with Him..

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.

You believe in God; believe also in me.

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going to

prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that

you also will be where I am…”

John 14:1-6

He will be with you in your today…

“Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest in your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29

“I pray that out of  His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power though His spirit in your inner being.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And  pray that,  you, being rooted and established  in love may have power with all the saints to

grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ ,

and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the

fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3:14-20

Walking forward in faith…moment by moment, and day by day; for sure takes practice…

You are learning to trust God’s guidance and direction.

His freedom and hope.

We get so used to looking back, over analyzing; and over thinking…

Those thoughts are exhausting, draining and keep you pinned in…

They keep us from living,  and loving; in our today…

And today is what is in front of us.

Looking back. Is. A Trap.

Picture a trap hunters set out to catch a wild animal…

When a trap gets ahold of you, it clamps down, pierces your skin, and holds you hostage…

right where you are.

You are stuck, and alone…

Hurting, and even bleeding…

This is not a good place to find yourself!

That is exactly what looking back  will do, if  we do not take heed…

This is a serious mind set.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith.

Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.”

1 Peter 5:9

Knowing that we are not alone in our struggles, is a beautiful thing…

We are all on the same team,

And God is our Coach :)

He is walking hand in hand with us through the traps, and teaching us how to walk securely.. hopefully;  and joyfully to the other side…

We don’t want to get all tripped up and stuck over yesterday…

Today matters,

You matter.

Let us reach out our arm, with great abandon and joy…  letting our Heavenly Father, reach down and securely grip our hands…

Let Him walk you forward…

Hear His voice singing songs of truth…of victory, and joy…

“You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of

deliverance.”

Psalm 32:7

You are not alone :)

Let Him encourage your steps, and release your fears…

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Beyond Perfect In His Eyes… #Arise

basically I have a crazy idea

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault

in His eyes…”

Ephesians 1:4

You are  beautiful In His eyes…

He chose you before the world was created…

Can you even believe the goodness of God!!

You were chosen for the good works He has planned for you…

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God

prepared in advance for us to do…”

Ephesians 2:10

Grounded in faith.

Covered by grace…

Trusting His sweet embrace…

As each day unfolds, they seldom look like we think they should…

Don’t let your heart and mind be full of could haves, and should haves…

Those thoughts are dark, and not from the light of God’s love…

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all

things have become new..”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Learning to trust God right where you are can be scary…

We can feel like we need to be so much more, or even do so much more…

Those thoughts are most definitely not from Your loving Father’s  out stretched hand…

“… love always protects , always trust, always hopes, always preservers…”

1Corinthians 13:7

Living in the moments of today, is right where we are supposed to be…

We are not promised tomorrow…

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”

Proverbs 27:1

Breathing in Today…

Making the best choices for the moments we have in front of us…

Loving others first, being a light of hope to anyone we greet…

That is the good stuff…

“If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.”

Father,

How unbelievably amazing is Your love…

You new me before the foundations of this world…

You saw me in my mother’s womb, and said..

“That little one is mine…”

To think; for a moment, that You are using my life, and my days…  just as I am, is mind blowing, and utterly amazing…

I am so very grateful..

I am so very full of awe..

I will  trust in You will all of my heart, and I am not going to lean on my own understanding…

I will acknowledge You as I go about my day, believing You will, and are guiding my path…

Thank You that the old has gone…

Thank You that the new has come!

Thank You that Your love over me cleanses and shines…

 I can trust in all that You are because Your  love always protects,  Always hopes, and forever perseveres…

Today,

I will not cling to my life…

I will give it to You, being comforted in all that You are..

Thanking You that the past is gone, and the new has come…

A Soft Heart Is… #Arise

a soft heartKeeping our heart soft in a cruel world is courage not weakness…

Living in the light of God’s goodness and hope is our souls  freedom…

“I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart.

And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.

So don’t be troubled and afraid.”

John 14:27

Hoping, praying, seeing the best in others, even when it hurts,  is the

sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirits aroma flowing from our inner

most being…

And the heart beat of God living within us…

Our spirit is alive, and blooming with joy, as we let the Holy Spirit show us the beauty of redemption, the overwhelming comfort of unconditional love, and the freedom in His great forgiveness…

God loving goodness is our shield of truth.  His love covers our hearts, and

gives us the courage to

live abundantly…

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.

My purpose is that they may have a life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10

When you live and breathe and move in the presence of God’s goodness,

We know it…

“They asked each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as He talked

with us on the road and explained the scriptures to us?”

Luke 24:32

When our hearts and our thoughts are living in the abundance of the love

He has poured over our weary hearts,

We are free..

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble,

whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is

admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such

things…”

Philippians 4:8

With the sword of truth,

We can kill every thought that wants to take our hearts captive..

Dear Heavenly Father,

How I want to live with the burning  of Your love filling my soul…

Thank You that You do not give as the world gives,

Your gift is freedom …

Your gift is peace that surpasses all understanding… (Phil 4:7)

As I chose to walk in the abundance of Your love, You unlock the chains and set my heat free…

You fill me with hope and inspire me to be better…

I want to be better…

I want to live each day with the purpose of letting Your love fill me, that I will be free..

Free to live in the light of Your hope,

And

Free to fill my world with the aroma of Your loving grace…

” Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me, but He said to me,

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s

power may rest on me.”

2 Corinthians 12:7

I love these words so so much…

They cover my heart with the sweetness of God’s embrace, confirming to my spirit that I am not crazy!  haha

I have weaknesses …

So many weaknesses…

I am not confident… I hurt for other’s pain… A lot…

I can be overwhelmed with sadness in like a minute flat.

I don’t fit in very well…

I worry that I come off overwhelming, annoying .. :)

I even worry that I smile too much :/  (I mean really?!!)

I have awesome anxiety, and I struggle with being around grown ups! LOL

And that’s the few that I am willing to admit! Hahaha

My weaknesses could keep me from reaching out to kindred hearts…

But God’s overwhelming love supports, and comforts me.

Nothing in my natural nature wants to be uncomfortable…

I am not bold or equipped that way…

Can you see the problem? :)

At my lowest, I cried out to God to change me…

That if I was going to be able to walk this new life He has for me, then I would need to be fixed of these things…

And to be very honest,

I have never been “Fixed”

But I have been changed…

God’s spirit that lives inside of me, encourages, and equips me for the day,

and for the people and situations that arise along the way…

Look at your own weakness…

Maybe list them…  and give each one to God…

Let Him show you how He

wants to use them as a river overflowing from your life to other’s hearts

and lives…

“In our weakness He is strong…”

I have learned, and still have to be reminded a lot, that my weaknesses are for a purpose…

They make me crave more of God…

They make me rely, depend, and love Him more deeply…

He chose you…

He chose me…

He is our Father, and the lover of our soul.

“… Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that

Christ’s power may rest on me…”

I love that so much…

Though we may feel weak… we are covered with strength… because His

power rests on you…

As we continue to walk forward … leaving the dust and rubble behind…

We can trust God in our weaknesses…

We can trust God with our today!

Reach For It… #Arise

Don't look back

After you and I have made a very conscious choice to let the chains of our past fall away, it

is important to stand securely in God’s promises.

We have let our failures, and  hurts…  our fear, and our confusion, dictate our path…

When we begin to understand  that we have to let failures, feelings, and sometimes

people,  go…

We are not saying we don’t care…

We are saying,

I am scared…

I don’t know how to move forward…

Help!  God, I need You.  I can’t do this on my own… 

The things  that have happened in our yesterdays, are the very  things  we cannot change.  They  are stumbling blocks.  They will trip us up and keep up feeling further from  the embrace of God’s grace over our weary hearts…

That is a trial.

It’s like we’re  sitting in a court room, and we are our own judge.  Do we open our clinched fist, and hand over our pain to God, or do we sentence ourselves a life of prison?  A life misery and pain?

When we chose let go,  we reach out, and grab the hand of God.

And when we grab the hand of God, we can hear Him whisper His truths that set us free…

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. 

In this world you will have trouble.

But take heart!

I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

That is where clarity  and hope pierce the darkness, and we find our life.

“In Him”  ALONE…

“He will cover you with His feathers.  He will shelter you with His wings.  His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

Psalm 91:4

In each trial there will be goodness, and grace..

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him”

John 3:17

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.  He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.”

Psalm 18:17

God has called you according to His good purposes …

We cannot let our hearts, and our lives be destroyed by the past.

God knew we would have that tendency…

We need to grab the truths of His love, and let Him have our days once

again…

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose…”

Romans 8:28

Dear Heavenly Father,

In my darkest moments Your love has never left me.

You came that I would be set free from the sin and darkness that wants to destroy…

You are my redeemer, and strength.

As I learn how to stand once again,

I am running into Your arms of safety and truth.

I will rest in Your care…

Covered by Your glory…

Cleansed by Your light.

Talitha Koumn…#Arise

change the past

“He took her by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha Koum!”

                (which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”)

Mark 5:41

Yup!

It’s time…

This sweet girl was pronounced dead.

Yet….  while she was still sick, her father, went to Jesus..

He was going to plead on her behalf, but before he could speak with Him, this dear father,  was told;

” Your daughter is dead.  Why bother the teacher anymore?”

(mark 5:35)

But Jesus overheard this conversation….

“Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue  ruler,

“Don’t be afraid: just believe.”

Mark 6:36

Jesus made His way to the little girl’s home…

“He did not let anyone follow Him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.

When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler.  Jesus saw a commotion with people crying and wailing loudly.

  He went in and said to them, why all this commotion and wailing?

The child is not dead but asleep.

But they laughed at Him.

After He put them all out, He took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with Him, and, and went to where the child was,

Then…

“He took her by the hand and said to her,  Talitha, Koum!

Which means little girl,

I say to you get up!”

Immediately the girl stood up and walked around.

And they were completely astonished.

He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat…”

Mark 5:41-42

While we were dead in our sin and shame,

Jesus came to our bedside…

He touched our head…

Held our hand…

And told us to arise…

Being so deeply personal… only between our Father in Heaven and the angles,  we were healed… no more shame.

Our Father came to our aide, comforted our fears…

And set our feet on solid ground.

Today,

He is reminding us to ARISE…

You may have been asleep…

Wondering around in darkness and pain.

But, Today…

He is telling you to Arise…

“Do you not perceive it?”

Isaiah 43:19

You are not dead…

There is so much more to come…

“Do not be afraid,  just believe…”
