If not love, then what?

To me the “then what” is a dark abyss… It’s a place where life is cruel…

We Judge and argue…

We become jealous and critical…

A place where bitterness can root its seed and the next thing we know…

fear or anger  have set our hearts in the wrong direction…

A careful heart that says I hear you…

A thoughtful touch that quietly speaks 1000 words…

What a life changing feeling when you feel understood, loved… cared for.

When you “just love”  you inspire others to “just love” too :)

So lets guard our thoughts. Bring them into the light of what is good and right and true and praiseworthy…

That’s the sweet place where the Holy Spirit thrives deep in our soul…

The place where love sets us free from the bondage of darkness and despair…

How I pray we take every thought captive remembering the weight of “then what” is not ours to carry…

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable… if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things…”

Philippians 4:8

Choose LOVE.

Choose LIGHT…

Choose GOODNESS over darkness.

Choose to live a life of love…  EVERY DAY…

Help us, Dear Heavenly Father,

May we know when our thoughts are drifting to darkness.

May your love and wisdom fill our thoughts to overflowing.

May you help me to take every dark thought captive.

May we recognize any thought  that is not pleasing to you and let it be destroyed and replaced with the beauty of light…

For that is where our freedom to grow and love and live is formed…

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:5

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that you already see the good in our hearts…

You have already placed your love and goodness in our soul… You have set us free…

You have made us beautiful in your eyes… How lovely is that….

Thank you for the reminder of how important it is to keep our thoughts in the light of goodness and grace…

The heart of God.

There is so much beauty in each pretty word, isn’t there!

To chase goodness sets my heart in motion and gives me clear guidance in all things life :)

Seeking the heart of God is the most beautiful freedom I know…

“May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation… those good things that are produced in your life by Jesus Christ… for this will bring much glory and praise to God”

Philippians 1:11

It’s true!

Life is never going to be perfect…

So maybe today… instead of worrying or wanting or wishing… fighting or pushing…

You just let go…..

Don’t let fear of the unknown creep in and keep you from living…

from loving…

from being the beautiful YOU that YOU are.

God has called YOU by name, and placed YOU right where you are.

You have all His love….

-And-

All of His heart…

His strength surges from His hand straight into your heart  :)

Keep your thoughts locked in His power..

He is your strength in times of trouble…

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble…”

Psalm 46:1

Our hope in days of despair..

“So do not be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Our peace in times of confusion…

“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding

in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight…”

Proverbs 3:5

The very things we cannot control are the very things we aren’t supposed to control :)

Letting God enter your circumstances is our pathway to freedom…

Though we cannot see him, we can know that He is present.  He is available.  He is working things out for HIS glory…

Our part is to not manipulate … interfere …. or guide our situation in the direction we think it should go…

Letting go is not reckless….

When I let go, you put prayer in place of action….

Sometimes, we have to train our mind to seek God’s hope… in place of our desire :)

So, maybe, today, instead of worrying and wanting and pushing and fighting…

YOU Let go….

You take a step toward peace…

Today, show up in your life, seek goodness, seek light…

Let God have the battle… He is the great I am.

He is the great Victor :)

Dear Heavenly Father…

I need you.  I need your strength and your power….

My body is weak, my days consumed….

Whenever I read those words I am stopped in my tracks… It’s amazing to me that my life is completely in His hands…

You were chosen to make a difference right where you are…

To lay aside our worries and fears and let His love burst through our lives for all His Glory and all His ways…

The Bible says He will give you what you ask… Seek His love… His heart… His truth… and joy… If you ask for these things, you can be sure God will fill your heart to overflowing..

As you fill your heart with hope, and joy, and truth, others will see God’s goodness flowing from HIS heart to theirs…

We were chosen to love the hurting…. to give grace to the broken.

Don’t let the burdens of life weigh you down…

Keep your focus on loving others…

This is the answer to all the questions…

Love others as God has loved you :)

It makes life simple when you live as chosen… as loved, and for His purpose.

Being strong doesn’t mean you close your mind and heart to listening and caring about others….

Being sensitive doesn’t mean you aren’t strong :)

If you watch the news at all, it seems like everyone is full of anger or rage or hate…. But, as I’ve noticed, not everyone is buying into that, and  I will super not  buy into that.. at all :)

Loving and caring… Listening and sharing…

Being gentle in tough situations, being kind when you are up against anger…

These are just a few of the things my soul urges me to do…

There is peace in goodness…

There is life in love…

We don’t have to be who the world urges us to be…  We can choose who we want to be…

“Do any of you want to live a live that is long and good?

Then watch your tongue!

Keep your lips from telling lies.

Turn away from evil and do good,

work hard at living in peace with others.”

I love my watch!

It reminds me to stop… to breath.. to be available and open…

Now is in our next breath…

Now is this exact moment, I will make the conscious decision to stop, drop, and pray…

Dear Jesus…

Draw me close… You know me better than I know myself.

My heart feels overwhelmed. My mind racing like a crazy person :)

I just want to thank you…

I want to cry out with all my heart and thank you… You never give up on me… You love and adore and fight for me..

I give you my day… My heart and my time…

I need to slow down in body and soul..

To breathe in what is true and right and good…

You are true.  Your goodness is right… And Your love is good!

Your faithfulness is pure, and lovely… and loving others with gentleness and grace is always so admirable and good for our souls…

Please don’t let me be so busy in my head that I neglect what is right in front of me…

I want to lay down my crazy, and wrap myself up in your arms… I pray for those who are hurting around me, and pray you will meet them right where they are…

We don’t want to let our hearts and thoughts side line us.  We don’t want to be so preoccupied with worry and anxiety that we miss the goodness right in front of us!

Breathing in the moments of now refreshes my mind and cleanses my heart.

Whispering a prayer of thankfulness gives God the wide open opportunity to speak to my heart and calm my fears…

He is always near… He is waiting for you to acknowledge and come to him…

“You know when I sit and when I stand up.  You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”

He already knows everything … He knows you need Him, and He loves you the best!

He deeply desires to cover your heart in His love…

“For he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Let His power take over your heart.

Let Him draw you into the space of His glory… Open wide your mouths and let Him fill you with good things…

Remember the day you knew God rescued you…

The day Jesus entered your heart, and filled you with hope… touched you with compassion, and changed your life forever..

Open wide your mouth … let Him fill you with hope…

Let Him wash away your tears, and give you strength…

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death, or sorrow or crying or pain,  for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation 21:4

That is the truth and the hope we have… Heaven is near.

Hold his love close, for tomorrow is not promised to anyone….

Today is a new day…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Walk hand in hand with the one who loves you the best…

He has good things in store all around you… share hope, live love, and keep your eyes on His goodness mercy and grace…

He sees you…

He hears you.

He adores you…

He is already there…

He has it all in the palm of His hand…

Stress is caused by over thinking… trying to figure everything out before it’s time, looking back with regret, or feeling sorry for ourselves… letting our emotions control our minds  instead of living in the moments God has in from of us.

Each day is a chance to adventure, live and love….

Taking your days one day at a time and living in full bloom right where you are is so important…

Today is what is before me, and today is enough.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matthew 6:34

So, if you”re feeling stressed and worried, warn out, and over tired, remember…

“Today is the day the Lord made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Take a moment to list the good things in your life…

Thank God for each of them…

Give Him a smile, and know it’s all going to be ok… God has your heart, and your back…

We please God when we let go… We please God when we trust Him in our weakness…

He loves us so much, He doesn’t want you or me to worry, or fret, He wants us to believe..

Remember when Jesus met Thomas right where he was..in His unbelief…

“The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was staining among them.

 “Peace be with you,” Put your finger here, and look at my hands.  Put your hand into

the wound in my side.

Don’t be faithless any longer.  Believe!”

“My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me.

Blessed are those who believe without seeing me..”

John 20:29

That is you and me!  We are blessed for have believed without seeing Him…

Keep going.  Keep believing…
