My Great Defender… #soverythankful

my great defender blog pic“The helpless put their trust in You.

You are the defender of the orphans..”

Psalm 10:14b

I love this little scripture for so many reasons.

I have come to realize that feeling helpless doesn’t have to make me feel vulnerable or afraid.

In fact, it should have the opposite effect..

When I feel helpless in my life’s trials, I don’t seem to over react, lash out, or try to fix the problem..

I am somewhat paralyzed…

And. That. Is. A. Blessing..

My helplessness opens the flood gates,  and allows God’s spirit of love, hope, and power ease my heart and direct my path…

I have found my way into my Heavenly Father’s presence…

I have surrendered what I don’t understand into His hands.

He is my defender.

No people pleasing.  No condemnation.  No hatred…

I am free to walk in His light of goodness,  knowing that He has my life in His hands, and He will guide my path…

I surrender all… and He picks up the pieces of my heart.

Dear Heavenly Father, how I need Your grace in my life… Thank You for Your amazing hope, power, and strength…

I am laying down the things that strangle my heart and drown out Your voice…

I turn my eyes toward You, and praise Your Holy Name…

Thank You for all the beauty You have surrounded me with…

Thank You for the love of family and friends, and hope that never ends…

This is my song to you.

I love You,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

” But now God has shown us a different way of being right in His sight- not by obeying the law, but by the way promised in the scriptures long ago.

We are made right in God’s sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins

And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who you are or what you have done..”

Romans 3:21-22

We are set free!!

Irresistibly Drawn… #soverythankful

irresistably drawn blog pic“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress;

the godly run to Him and are safe…”

Proverbs 18:10

Oh, how these words sweetly sing to my soul…

God’s presence in my life is my safety.  He is my fortress… Our strong tower.

On my own, I fall into traps of depression and hopelessness…

God has wired our hearts.. our souls… to need Him…

His love for you and me is always the answer…

Rest in His presence…

“Lift your head, O you gates; be lifted up,

you ancient doors, that the king of glory may come in…Who is he, this king of glory?

The Lord Almighty- He is the King of Glory…”

Psalm 24:9

Dear Heavenly Father, without Your presence in my life, I would be lost… I am irresistibly drawn to Your safety… for that I cry.. Abba, Father…

You are my God…

My king of glory….

I lay down my desires, hopes and dreams…

Help me to seek Your presence above all these things!

Thank You for Your presence in my life…

In Jesus Name,

Amen,

Live in love,

“For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do…”

Ephesians 2: 8-10

God sees you…

You are so loved!

He’ll Never Let Go… #soverythankful

he'll never let go“Great is Thy faithfulness..

Great is Thy faithfulness…

Morning by morning His mercies I see..

He will give you strength and a bright hope for tomorrow..

So prodigal son, prodigal daughter, come back home, he will give you grace to abide…

He is faithful.  He is merciful,

so come back to Him, come back home…

 Great is His faithfulness!”

These are just a few words from a song that touches my heart deeply and leaves me feeling spent and filled all at the same time….

Oh, Dear Friend, if you are feeling abandoned or alone, fearful of what tomorrow may bring, let me encourage you to come on back home

Dear Heavenly Father, my heart is heavy, and my thoughts turn to sadness… As I come into your presence new mercies I need…

Great is Your faithfulness!

I pour out my heart of sorrow into Your chest of hope… Hold me dear Father, as I let it all go…

Thank You for today, may I walk in peace as I trust You are working behind the scenes of my life… guiding and directing, protecting and healing…

I hold close to You, Oh Lord…

“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope;  Because of the Lord’s great hope, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness..”
