“Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach.
This mad the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that He was associating
with such despicable people –
even eating with them!
So Jesus used this illustration:
“If you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the
wilderness, wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one
until you found it?
And then you would joyfully carry it home on your shoulders.
When you arrived, you would call together your friends and neighbors to rejoice with you
because your lost sheep was found.
In the same way, Heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over
ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”
Luke 1-7
Our calling is Love…
To be a vessel of hope and light…
To know that we are all prone to wander, stumble and lose our way…
To have hearts of compassion and genuine humility…
That is the Love Jesus poured over the lost and weary…
His heart was always soft and ready to receive the brokenhearted …
May our hearts stay soft, covered by the warmth of His love.
May our days be filled with the hope of helping another find their way into their Father’s
arms…
Lord,
Turn my eyes to the love of Heaven…
To the heartbeat of Jesus’ great compassion on our hearts.
That He joyfully carried me into Your throne of mercy melts my heart, and
encourages so much goodness.
Thank You for opening my eyes to the power of Your hope…
May Your love, forgiveness, and great mercy reign through my heart…
May my life be a sweet aroma of Your love and amazing hope…
I love You.
In Jesus Name,
I pray,
Amen
Live in Love,
Lisa
