God seeks our hearts…
He touches our soul…
He makes all things new.
He interrupts our thoughts with hope and
infusions them with truth…
He has not patched our lives together,
He
has completely destroyed the old,
and made us
new…
“Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the
bridegroom mourn while he is with them?
The time will come when he will be taken from
them: then they will fast.
No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth in an
old garment for the patch will pull away from
the garment, making the tear worse.
Neither do men pour new wine into old wine
skins, if they do, the skins will burst, the wine
will run out, and the wineskins will be ruined.
No, they pour new wine into new wineskins,
and both are preserved.”
Matthew 9:16-17
We need to be gentle with our souls…
Not letting the habits of old, or the
thoughts of be louder than His still soft
voice…
Praying…
Being still…
Listening …
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be honored by every nation,
I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalm 46:10
His truth will be exalted…
We can be still in Him.
Worrying is not necessary anymore…
Without Christ we were like that old garment…
We were falling apart with worry…
torn with despair…
threads of fear dangling for all the world to see…
We wore holes from analyzing, and tried to patch every thought to make our garment look
and feel more beautiful…
All along destroying our garment by the non stopping of our touch…
And that old wineskin, well that was already full to the brim.. so much worry, so much
sadness…
“But thanks be to God!
He has made us His captives and continues to lead us along in
Christ’s triumphal procession.
Now He uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Him everywhere.”
2 Corinthians 2:14
Do not look back. Do not overthink…
Dear Friend…
Train your mind.
Look for the good…
And be the good.
Keep your focus on God’s love and friendship..
He is the center of your life…
He has made you new…
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil. Cling to what is good…. be joyful in hope, patient in
affliction, faithful in prayer….”
Romans 12: 9-21
Don’t fill your life up with the old…or like the old wineskin, you may just burst.. and the love may run out… and everything will get ruined…
Big thumbs down!! :)
Live in Love,
Lisa
