Talitha Koumn…#Arise

change the past

“He took her by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha Koum!”

(which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”)

Mark 5:41

Yup!

It’s time…

This sweet girl was pronounced dead.

Yet….  while she was still sick, her father, went to Jesus..

He was going to plead on her behalf, but before he could speak with Him, this dear father,  was told;

” Your daughter is dead.  Why bother the teacher anymore?”

(mark 5:35)

But Jesus overheard this conversation….

“Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue  ruler,

“Don’t be afraid: just believe.”

Mark 6:36

Jesus made His way to the little girl’s home…

“He did not let anyone follow Him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.

When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler.  Jesus saw a commotion with people crying and wailing loudly.

He went in and said to them, why all this commotion and wailing?

The child is not dead but asleep.

But they laughed at Him.

After He put them all out, He took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with Him, and, and went to where the child was,

Then…

“He took her by the hand and said to her,  Talitha, Koum!

Which means little girl,

I say to you get up!”

Immediately the girl stood up and walked around.

And they were completely astonished.

He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat…”

Mark 5:41-42

While we were dead in our sin and shame,

Jesus came to our bedside…

He touched our head…

Held our hand…

And told us to arise…

Being so deeply personal… only between our Father in Heaven and the angles,  we were healed… no more shame.

Our Father came to our aide, comforted our fears…

And set our feet on solid ground.

Today,

He is reminding us to ARISE…

You may have been asleep…

Wondering around in darkness and pain.

But, Today…

He is telling you to Arise…

“Do you not perceive it?”

Isaiah 43:19

You are not dead…

There is so much more to come…

“Do not be afraid,  just believe…”

Mark 36

Father,

I believe… And…  I Receive.

In Jesus Name,

I pray,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa
