Glory To God In The Highest…

glory to God in the hightest blogWhat a beautiful reminder of God’s loving and beautiful Spirit…

“You are worthy, O lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power.

For you created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created..”

Revelation 4:11

Dear Lord, How I love these words.  They inspire my heart to give You reverence and honor, taking my focus off of me; and basking in Your Majesty…

Hallelujah I sing…

How I praise You my King for all the beauty in this world.. a loving smile, the warmth of a fire, the beauty of Christmas, the snow and the rain… The winter and spring..

 The clouds and the moon..

All so beautiful and created by You

How beautiful You are…

Thank You for Your Spirit of Christmas and the love You so freely offer…

I love You so much…

In Jesus Name,

Amen…

“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel,

 Praising God ..

And saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests..”

Luke 2:13

Surrounded By His Favor…

surrounded by His favor” But let all who take refuge in You be glad…”

Psalm 5:11

If you just can’t fight the fiery arrows being shot your way, If your heart has given all that it can…

Sometimes, you just need to take refuge…

“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.  For surely, Oh Lord You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield..”

Psalm 5:11-12

Good Morning, Dear Heavenly Father… How I praise and love You.  As I come before You this new day, I surrender my heart and all of my fears…

I so gladly come before You this morning singing of your joy and thanking You for Your great protection around me… thank You for your blessings and favor that surround my heart and shield my mind…

Under Your loving wings of protection; and surrounded by your love… That is my happy place…

Thank You for today…

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him…”

1 Corinthians 2:9b

Sweet. Simple Faith…

sweet simple faith“Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again..”

Revelation 3:3

I remember that day…

That day when I kneeled by the side of my bed; and asked God if He was real.. That day  when I cried out how sorry I was for what my life had become… When I asked Him to forgive me.  When I asked Him to please come into my heart and help me. Then,  in that moment; I realized just how close God was.. He was all around me, and He was for me.  Words don’t seem to give my story justice, but the love that surrounded my heart in that moment; forever has changed my life…

Do You remember that day?  Do you remember what you heard, and what you believed?

I would love to hear your story…

Let’s hold on to it firmly…

Let’s turn to God again…

Dear Heavenly Father, How I love You… Your love and words give my life purpose and meaning.  Thank You that when I come before You, and kneel in your presence; everything else just slips away, and I am covered in Your sweet aroma of love…

Your forgiveness of the past.. Your grace, and tender compassion for today, and Your hope for the future compile the best life ever; and I am so very grateful to be able to call You my Father, comforter and friend…

May my life be a reflection of that goodness, mercy and grace…

I love You so so much,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.  O Lord, my God, I will give you thanks forever..”

Psalm 30 11-12

A Willing Spirit…

a willing spirit“I know the things you do.  I have seen your hard work, and your patient endurance.  I know you don’t tolerate evil people.  You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are liars.  You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.  But I have this complaint against you.  You don’t love me, or each other as you did at first… Look how far you have fallen from Your first love…”

Revelation 2:2

Have you ever felt like this?  Numb.  Tired.  Wanting so very much to regain the spirit of love you used to have?

It’s a season for sure, or at least I have said that to myself…

Sometimes the harder we fight for what is true.  What is right, and good, and praiseworthy; the more exhausted we become.  Without even knowing it, our passion turns from God’s tender love and compassion to a fight for what is right…

Have you ever been there?

When that fight starts to push and nudge at our hearts, it is tempting to be drawn in.  But don’t.

It’s okay to walk away.  To turn our back on the madness, and run straight into our Saviors arms..

When we release the fight, yet live in love, we turn the power over and place it where it belongs..

In God’s hands…

Sometimes, when we think we are fighting  the good fight,  we are loosing our identity and love for God.. Our first love… it is time to walk away..

Loving God with all of our hearts is; and always will be, the greatest commandment of all…

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your souls, and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment..”

Matt 22:37

And when we are suffering with that, you can be sure we are suffering with the second..

“Love your neighbor as yourself…”

Matt 22:39

Dear Heavenly Father, Good Morning… How I love and praise You for the strength in these truths…

That You see the things we do.. our hard work, our faithfulness and loyalty.. You see our hearts, and the reasons we sometimes challenge what we see.   You have blessed us with love, mercy and wisdom all for Your glory; and our peace which is hidden in You…

Thank You for this passionate truth..

“I have this complaint against you.  You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!  How far you have fallen from your first love…”

Revelation 2:4

How I pray you would not have this complaint against me..

Help me to regain my first love; to be still in Your presence, and filled by Your grace…

May my heart be drawn back into Your Courts where it is safe.  Beautiful.  And full of Your loving presence… Give me the strength to keep You first, and close the door on those things that are pulling me away from the quietness of Your presence…

I pray this In Jesus, Holy Name,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me..”

Psalm 51:12

“The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.  He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and your staff they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil. my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever..”

Psalm 23:1-3

Sweet To The Soul…

sweet to the soul1“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones..”

Proverbs 16:26

Life is hard.

Nice words, caring eyes, and a gentle touch can encourage our dreams, lift our spirit’s and pour hope into each other’s lives..

Mean words.. Silent stares, and harsh looks will do just the opposite.. crush each other’s dreams, burden our hearts, and darken our days…

The way I see it, we all have a choice..

And I choose love..

When we love God with all of our Hearts.. When we are truly thankful for all that He has done for us.  When we have surrendered our heart’s to become more like His, then we really have no other choice..

Freedom comes only when we choose love…

“All praise to Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding His blood for us..”

Revelation 1:5b

Heavenly Father, May my words, thoughts and actions be pleasing to You… To remember that my life is an extension of You is my heart’s desire today… When I am tempted to live in the flesh… please guide me back into your presence of all that is good.. right and true…

People need hope… People need light.  Goodness and lot’s of grace…

Thank You that that is what You bleed into me.  How I pray to bleed these good things into other’s..

Lord, may my words be sweet to the soul and healing to their bones; for we never really know how heart broken, weary or anxious someone truly feels…

Help me to remember Your words…

“Love God.  Love People.”

Matthew 22:37

It matters to You, and that is enough for me..

In Jesus Holy and precious Name,

Amen

“I am the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end” says the Lord God.  “I am the one who is who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One.”

Revelation 1:8

May I be beautiful unto You, Oh Lord…

That You May Be Encouraged…

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding,

in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Colossians 2:2

This morning I am reminded that Christ is our sole provider… our sole purpose.

And

He is our Soul provider and our Soul purpose.

He is our encourager.  Our Uniter, and our strength…

We will always be let down by people, churches, organizations…

But in Christ alone we find the mysteries of God…

We find wisdom…

We find knowledge…

Don’t let anyone, or anything take the place of the intimacy God wants with you.

He is the only one we will ultimately answer to…

He is the one we will find great joy in… He is our answer, He is our truth…

Rest in His love for you above all else, and He will show you the way :)

Oh Dear Heavenly Father, Your love for us melts my heart.  It flows in like a river being filled with gentle rain…

Oh how sweet the sound…

Today, we give you our day… thanking You for your gentle mercies and encompassing love.

You are our answer.  You are the way…

Resting in Your arms… thanking you for today…

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Jude 1-2

Dear Heavenly Father, Good Morning to You… How happy I am to read these words this morning… When my heart feels heavy, and my mind consumed, I love that I can call out to you for more of Your mercy, peace and love…

Your mercy covers my fears, Your peace strengthens my heart, and Your love infuses my life with passion and grace…

Jude: 24

The Good You See…

the good you seeSometimes it’s hard to think of ourselves as good; at times things just come out wrong.. harsh or self-serving.

Thankfully God knows our hearts… He knows the good we want to say or do…

It is always written on my heart to first be a peace maker, but when I feel I have failed, the pieces of my heart feel broken, shattered…

I know for me, when I am feeling like I just can’t get it right, my solace and identity come from God, my hope and my redeemer….

“Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever…”

Psalm 125:1

Dear Heavenly Father, Good Morning… I do trust in You.  I trust in You for my security, hope and goodness.  Today, as I come before You, I am feeling like I have failed You, my heart feels heavy and my thoughts scattered.

Thank You that You are the God of my heart, and in You I am safe, secure and fully accepted… Thank You for Your great forgiveness that washes over me, freeing me from my own thoughts of condemnation… Thank You for seeing the good in my heart, and creating in me a steadfast spirit.

As I grasp Your hand, Father, I am reminded of all that You have done for me.. All that I am to You, and I am truly grateful…

I love that I am Your daughter…

In Your Name, I pray,

Amen

“Oh, Lord do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with You…”

Psalm 125:4

May my heart be in tune with Yours…

I love you..

Lisa

A More Perfect Love…

a may perfect lord“This is real love.  It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins…”

Sin is a word that can push us away from God’s love.  It can make us feel defensive, proud or self-righteous; and if we are not careful, we will forget that sin is why we came to Jesus in the first place…

Thank you Dear Lord for reminding me that my sin… is what drove me to want to know You.  That I will never be perfect, but I can be better.  Your love is beautiful, and it’s my hearts desire to shine of all that You are to me…

1 John 4:10

Dear Lord, coming before You this new day… wanting to be a reflection of all that You are .

Thank You for standing by my side, even when I am ashamed or saddened by the things I say or do… Your great love and forgiveness draws me right back into Your presence and fills me with love, hope, and your beautiful truths…

Cleanse me from darkness and keep me in the light…

May my heart be sensitive to all that You are to me.  All that You have done and saved me from.

You are my rock.  My fortress. And my Redeemer…

How beautiful You are.

I love You, Jesus…

In Your Name

I pray,

Amen

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in Him.  God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.  And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect…”

1 John 4:16

May my love grow more perfect…

Have an awesome day!

25 Days Of Christmas..

joy to the worldThe Holy Spirit within us.

He is our comforter.  Our healer. Our conscious of what is good, what is right, and what is true…

We learn to recognize Him in our lives by right living.

Charles Stanley is one of my most favorite Pastors; and He explains it like this..

“Anyone can be loving, kind and self controlled in seasons of blessing.  But what happens to our attitude in trying times?  The real test of who we are occurs not when things are going our way but when misfortune shows up.  If the Spirit is in charge, we will learn to do four things;  to love when w want to hate; to practice kindness when we are accused; to respond gently when others are harsh; and to have self-control when temptation strikes hard.  None of us will do all of this perfectly because there is still “self” within us…

But when we do sin, we will respond quickly to the Spirit’s prompting… we will recognize our wrong actions, confess it, and refocus on God’s ways…”

As we enter this Holiday Season, It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit would have free range within my heart, life, and home…

Good Morning Dear Heavenly Father,  Christmas is in the Air, and it’s such a beautiful season. I Love the lights and all that glitters, it just makes my heart happy…

Oh, Lord as I come before You this new day how I pray for hearts who are hurting, who are searching, who are fearful, lonely or overwhelmed by just the thought of the holiday season…

May they come to know Your great love for them.  May I be an example of what Christmas is..

The beauty.  The Hope.

The sweetness and truth of why we celebrate..

Will You help me to live these truths, as I pray to be filled and aware of Your precious spirit in my life leading and guiding my words, heart and days…

How I pray that when other’s look at me, especially during this Christmas season, they  would see You and all of Your glory…

How I pray this Christmas Season my eyes would be open to those who are in need of Your Christmas Spirit…

In Jesus Name,

Amen…

“But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true.  For the Spirit teaches you all things, and what He teaches is true…”
