Let It Go…

let it goLetting go of control is hard, letting God be the boss is scary.  But how much scarier is it to do it on my own?

“The Lord is my strength, my shield  from every danger.  I trust in Him with all my heart.”

Psalm 28:7

Dear Father, thank You so much for Your perfect love that casts out fear.  I am Yours.  I am sealed by Your blood.  I am hidden in You, and comforted by Your strength.

It can be so hard to let go of my fears.  I feel like pride is my own worst enemy… Dear Lord, open my eyes, that I would walk down the path that You have already laid out before me.

You are my guiding light, and I thank You for pouring Your wisdom into me that I don’t have to second guess what is good.

You are good, and You have a perfect plan for me…

Thank You so much for being my shield and my strength…

I love You,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow me.

If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it, but if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.  What are the benefits if you gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit your own soul in the process?”

Luke 9:23-25

The Aroma of His Love…

woman who poured perfume on jesus feet“A certain immoral woman heard He was there and brought a beautiful jar filled with expensive perfume.

Then she knelt behind Him, at His feet, weeping.  Her tears fell on His feet, and she whipped them off with her hair.  Then she kept kissing His feet and putting perfume on them…”

Luke 7:37-38

How I love everything about her heart…

She pursued Jesus with everything she had to offer… Herself. And her treasured perfume…

The love… hope  and forgiveness Jesus exuded far outweighed the humiliation she knew she surely would be facing in this room filled with men and Pharisees …

She needed Him.

He was there for her!

“Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here.  When I entered your home you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

You didn’t give me a kiss of greeting, but she has kissed my feet again and again from the time I first came in.  You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume.  I tell you, her sins and they are many, have been forgiven.  So she has shown me much love.  But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.

Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.”

.. then Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace..”

Luke 7:50

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being my biggest fan and lover of my soul.  I stand in awe of Your great forgiveness over my life, and thank You for opening my eyes and giving me the strength to seek Your face…

I love this picture so much…

She poured her tears, and perfume from the depths of her broken heart… she needed You.

From the depths of my broken heart, I need You.  I need your forgiveness.  Your love.  And most of all Your salvation and redemption running though my veins..

Thank You for forgiving my brokenness… the sin that wants to tear me away from you.

Thank You that I can lay all of who I am at Your feet, and be cleansed white as snow.

Help me to live in love today…

Walking in Your aroma of love, and cleansed by the blood of Your grace.

You are my God…

How beautiful is that…

I love You,

In Jesus name, I pray,

Amen

Your life is on purpose, and for a purpose…

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You.  Thank You for my life and my days…

May Your love and compassion fill me to overflowing…

Use me this day to love big… to remind someone that they matter, their voice matters…

That they would know that You see them, and more than anything that You love them…

Draw them into Your loving care.

May my world be impacted because of Your tender love…

May they know that You care…

I love You, Jesus,

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.  Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.  Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God..”

Searching For Good?

if you search for good...I love this…

“If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!”

Proverbs 11:27

My natural instinct is to always want to find the good in any situation… I hate even the thought of confrontation, anger and resentment.

Evil is such a strong word, and sometimes it’s hard for me to remember that bad and evil have an agenda….

By instinct I want to protect myself.  What I have learned, and what this scripture is telling us is powerful!

If you find yourself in a situation of judgment or resentment, and you are carelessly letting feelings of darkness, turn your eyes away from whatever is good…

look out!

This scripture says the evil will find you…

How true is that?!

How many times I have opened the door to this course of action… enough to have been stung and stung again!

It seems that evil will always be present…. especially when good is wanting to shine the light of hope!

It is my heart’s desire to seek God’s hope in all things…

To know that God asks us to search for good gives me the strength to believe that He honors that.

He will give us favor in the situation, and He will turn the tide.

Obedience is the key.

Search for good… and you WILL find favor…

Dear Father, These words are pure delight to my soul. You are good….

Thank You for shinning Your light of truth so brightly.  My heart can so easily be consumed by the darkness I see.  Thank You for clarity and light!

Thank You that I don’t have to be sucked into the darkness…

You are my way out…

Help me to memorize this scripture.

To write it on my heart, and recall it daily…

“If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!”

Proverbs 11:27

Thank You, Oh Lord, that You have plans to prosper and not to harm me… You have plans to give me hope and a future…

What more can I ask for…

You truly love me..

You Give me the strength I need, to be the woman You know I want to be…

Strong and loving… Hopeful and joyful…

Thankful and giving…

Secure in You.

Consumed by who You are…

I love You, Father…

Keeping my eyes on You.. Searching for the good.

Letting go of what is evil…

Walking in the light…

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Walk in peace, sweet friends…

Rock Your World…

Psalm 65:3-4

God knows our hearts, our thoughts and our desires…

He has cleansed you from the inside out.  Clothed you in beauty, and entrusted you to rock your world…

Trust Him.  Love Him madly… and rock your world.

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me… forgetting what is behind and straining forward what is ahead, I press on to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 3:13-14

Too Deep?

too deep blogTrusting in something, and someone bigger than life.

Living to be beautiful in God’s eyes.

Unshaken by the dark voices of this world calling me to hide…

Oh Lord, Your mercies are never ending.

How I thank You for Your beauty and grace that draw me to the lake’s edge and beckon me to go deeper…

“Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets, and you will catch many fish…”

Luke 4:4

May my life shine of all the beauty that You have shown me.

May I forever have the courage to go deep.  To let go of the things that are holding me back, and walk in the light of what is good.

Your love is good.  Your plan for my life is good.  Your mercies unfailing amaze me…

I will walk in the light, like You are in the light…

That is where I find all that I need.  In the light of Your presence, and the warmth of Your embrace.

I will go deeper, for I know You are holding me tight…

“This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you. God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.  If we claim to have fellowship with him but walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

But if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His son, purifies us from all sin”.

1 John 1:5-7

The Beauty of His Words…

Has God put a dream on your heart?

It’s so super hard not to get discouraged when you feel you should be accomplishing more than you are, but God never intended for us to be discouraged…

He is paving your path, for His good purposes… Walk with him, and take it easy on yourself…

Just keep moving throughout your day, doing what’s in front of you, nothing is menial to God, and like Mary said to the Angel Gabriel…

“I am willing to accept whatever He wants..”

It blesses God when we are humble.. when we take care of ourselves, our families, and the things that we know we should be doing…

Take the pressure off of yourself, and let God work His plan..

All for His glory…

Dear Heavenly Father, How I praise You for Your love that covers me.  Thank You for filling me with the courage to trust in You.  To live a life of love.  One day at a time… seeking You with all of my heart, and trusting You with the rest.

Thank You for whispering to me daily to not be discouraged.

That is simple… if I would just obey.

Today I will not be discouraged because I am confident in You…

In Jesus name,

God chose the weak things of the wold to shame the strong.  He chose the lowly thngs of the world and the despised things and the things that are not to nullify the thinhgs that are.  So that no one may boast before Him.

It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”
