Some days it’s hard to wrap my mind around God’s undying love for me.

Some days I feel overwhelmed.  Consumed by my own fears of failure, or defeat…

I’ve learned, over time, to not dwell in the fogginess of  darkness…

That feelings lie, and that God is Mighty to Save… Calling His name is necessary…

And there He is…

Those thoughts need to be interrupted immediately…

And that only happens when you call on His name… When you turn your eyes to His beauty and love… to his goodness and grace.

Nothing about you is accidental… absolutely nothing.

You are marvelously loved.  Holy Set apart…

You are His and He is yours.

So…

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus look full in His wonderful face and the things of this earth

will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace…”

This is the thing… hope is like fairy dust sprinkled all over our hearts… It is trust in His relentless love, and peace in all that is good.

Whenever shadows of fear or confusion darken your sight… Remember it is HOPE that gives us love and light…

In Jesus we see our hope.

In His every word, until His very last breath, He was a beckon of something powerful and good…

His love and goodness drew them to Him…

They laid their eyes on hope, and watched Him endure so much pain and terrible sadness.

Oh, Jesus,

My soul thirsts for more of you…

Your beauty and peace bring contentment to my world…

May your hope be the overflow of all that I say.  All that I do.

Your hope is the biggest blessing over my weary heart…

How I praise you.

How I thank you.

May our voices speak of hope and love…

May our actions touch the hearts of those who seek in their sorrow.  Who ache in their pain…

May all that you are be enough, as we take our eyes off the things we can’t control, and reach for You… You are our place of refuge and peace…

Great is His Name…

Awesome is his power…

There is no fear when you turn to Him in worship and praise…

” I will sing of the tender mercies of the Lord forever!…..

Oh Lord, God Almighty!  Where is there anyone as mighty as you, Lord?  

Faithfulness is your very character.  You are the one who rules the oceans.

When their waves rise in fearful stoms, you subdue them.  You are the one who crushed the great sea monster.  You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.  The heavens are yours and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours.  You created it all….

Powerful is your arm! Strong is your hand!  Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.”

 Psalm 89:1 and 8-13

Yes!  Sing of His tender mercies.   Emerge your heart in the aroma of His presence.

Let Him subdue the storms that rise.  Let Him scatter your enemies with his mighty arm.

This God of ours is mighty to save…

He is our great hope.

His presence is our answer to every need…

Let it be that simple.

Be quiet in His arms.  Let Him touch all the broken pieces… one by one.

Breathe Him all in…

Then, Dear soul, shine on like the moon and the stars and the sun…

His presence is our very need :)

Good Friday …

He showed us the beauty in humility … In surrender and trust…He knows the way because He is the way Sending out some Good Friday love. May your heart be full … May His sacrifice be our hope :)

“He grew up like a tender shoot, like a root out of dry ground.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows,

and familiar with suffering.

Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised and we esteemed Him not.

Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows yet we considered Him stricken

by God smitten by Him, and afflicted.

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the

punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,

and by His wounds we are healed.”

Isaiah 53

And By His wounds, We are Healed…

The heart of surrender is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?

When feelings seem over overwhelming, its time to turn our perspective…

Turn from the shadows, and open our mouths wide…

Pause…

Let God fill you with good things…

Beautiful things… The things He knows you need…

“I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war! … I lift my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip; He who watches over you will not slumber…”

Psalm 120:7 – Psalm 121:1-3

Search for peace.

Lift your eyes to heaven, and let Him turn your perspective to His glory and grace.

He is the God of all hope, all goodness… that is our standing ground.

He is our foundation.  He will not let our foot slip even… NO… especially. When we think we have messed it up.

When I place my trust in the palm of His hand, I surrender my way… my thoughts and my direction.

I keep my mind focused in His word, and I walk in the comfort of His beauty and peace.

Where we find stress and anxiety, is exactly where we need to surrender to love.

Today, I pray, instead of panic, we pray…

God,

I seek you.  Above all things, I seek the beauty of your face.

I seek the kindness of your heart, and the beauty of your grace.

I lift my eyes to heaven, and I am stilled with peace…

Help me to keep my eyes on You.

Help me to walk in grace.  Help me to shift my focus, that my thoughts would be filled with more of you, and less of me.

Your way is always light.  Your way is never burdensome or controlling…

Your way is freedom and love..

There is no mistaking your goodness…

Thank you for redirecting my fear…

Thank you for drawing me near.

Standing for what is good.  And right.  And true.  Is always a red line.

Ephesians 6:13-14

His belt of truth … my support and strength…

His love wrapped securely around you.

You are safe.

“Dear Friends, do not be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through,

as though something strange were happening to you.”

1 Peter 4:12

Being both strong and gentle in a storm is the goal…

Standing on solid ground with God’s Armour of protection, and His mighty sword of truth… our defense.

We are not victims, we are victors …

We should never be surprised by life’s viciousness, instead, we cling to what is true, and stand our ground in hope and freedom…

For God himself is my hope.

He is freedom.

He is love.

And He is our truth…

Do not be shaken… His love is our heart’s desire.

He whispers songs of goodness over us, and eases the burden of our thoughts…

He sets the captive free, and He lifts the weight of the weary.

“There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives our fear, because fear has to do with 

punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

1 John 4:18

God fights for you.  He longs for you to be free in Him…

Gone are the days of worry or punishment.

“So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.”

John 8:36

So…………

“Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.”

Ephesians 6:13-14

After you have done all that you can do…

STAND FIRM…

Dear Jesus,

I lay my way down… No expectations or shenanigans…

I come before you with open arms, and a weary soul…

Thank you for fighting for our freedom… For growing my heart…

For pushing me to depend on You and You alone…

You are the way out of the darkness that threatens…

You are the light that shines through the cracks, and illuminates my whole heart…

You are my freedom.

My calm in the crazy…

You are the love of my life…

How great you are…

He is hope, and goodness, and joy, and everything beautiful..

He brightens the weariest of souls, and shines through every shattered heart…

Don’t you dare dim your light to make others feel more comfortable.

The God of the world chose you…

He kissed your check, and reached for you.

He touched  you with grace, and imprinted you with His love…

He came down from heaven, and called you by name…

Don’t you dare dim your light to makes others feel more comfortable.

Your days have meaning… Your life has purpose…

Every day, every hour,  every struggle, every triumph… God is with you!

“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God.

For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of

righteousness…”

Isaiah 60:10

May your heart rejoice in the love he offers.   May you feel the comfort of His robe

wrapped around your weary soul…

May you be soothed by his warmth.

May you be strong, and brave, and full of His wonder…

It’s good to be happy.  It’s good to shine.

No one can dim His light that shines within you…

Thank you Heavenly Father…

Your goodness and mercies are the bedrock of my life…
