It’s okay…
It’s okay, and sometimes very necessary to surrender to the place where we find ourselves in at this moment…
But that doesn’t mean we should ever… EVER… close the doors of our hearts and get too comfortable.
Prayer changes things..
“But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.
The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, chained between two soldiers, with others standing guard at the prison gate.
Suddenly there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel tapped him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains feel of his wrists.
Then the angel told him, “Get dressed, and put on your sandals.” And he did. Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered.
So Peter left the cell, following the angel. But all the time he thought it was a vision. He didn’t realize it was really happening.
Then the passed the first and second guard posts and came to the iron gate to the street, and this opened to them all by itself.
So they passed through and started walking down the street, and then the angel suddenly left him.
Peter finally realized what had happened, “It’s really true!” he said to himself….”
Acts12:6-11
Can you imagine how trapped and helpless Peter must have felt…
He must have been wondering when.. and if this imprisonment was ever going to end.
There have been so many times in my life where I have built up walls, and let myself crawl inside…
All self-inflicted for sure…
Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to keep my heart and thoughts focused on the God of miracles…
The God that set the captives free…
The God who hears the cries of our hearts, and the needs in our lives…
The God of everlasting love, hope, freedom and redemption.
There is unexplained joy in my heart when I read Your word of Truth,
Oh Lord.
Your love for Your people, and intense hand of grace grows more deeply the more I start to surrender my desires…
To live in the moments of now… yet letting my heart be captivated by the miracles of Your love fills me with such hope…
How truly beautiful and wonderful are Your ways…
“He remembered our utter weakness.
His faithful love endures forever…”
Psalm 136:23
Lord, I am so thankful for Your constant push of encouragement and hope.
I am keeping the doors of my heart and mind wide open for Your entry and grace…
Today, I will live right where I am in your comfort and peace…
Doing the best I can to live a life that glorifies You..
My God and my King…
In Jesus Name,
I pray
Amen
Live in Love,
Lisa
Keep praying…
Keep trusting…
Keep moving forward…
