Growing In Trust…

life goes onLittle by little.

Day by day..

Growing in trust.  Living in hope.

“They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strength that gave them the victory.  It was by Your mighty power that they succeeded;

It was because you favored them and smiled on them…”

Psalm 44:3

The right perspective is always the key to living in God’s grace, hope and goodness…

Dear Heavenly Father, How beautiful You are.  Thank You for your righteous right hand that holds me up…

I am so truly thankful that by Your strength I can live in victory..

Your favor, over the lives of those who seek You, is real.

You favor me, and You smile over me!

How amazing is Your love!

How I stand in Your presence with complete awe and wonder.  I love Your word of hope and am praying that I would be a light of Your goodness to those who are living in darkness..

Those longing for the light of hope to shine on them…

Today is a good day to love other’s just as You have loved me.

Thank You for Your faithfulness.  Thank You that I can live in peace trusting You to take care of the rest…

I love You, Jesus, with all of my heart…

Thank You for shinning Your light of hope over me!

I am Yours forever…

I love You,

In Jesus name,

Amen,

Live in love,

Lisa

“I do not trust my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me.  It is You who gives us victory over our enemies; it is you who humbles those who hate us.  O God, we give glory to You all day long and constantly praise Your name.”

Psalm 44:6-8

Great Throne of Perfect Love…

walk in the light of what is goodToday is a new day…

I will walk in the light of what is true, and what is good!

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..”

Philippians 4:4-7

Dear Heavenly Father, You are what is true in my life.  You are good and praiseworthy, lovely and pure…

I come before Your great throne of perfect love seeking Your presence.. shedding my layers of hardness in exchange for your presence of peace..

Thank you for guarding my heart and my mind as I rest my thoughts on your beauty and goodness.

Lord, you know my heart.  I lay my requests, and burdens of the day, at your feet praising You for your peace that definitely transcends all understanding…

Thank You so much that I am free to walk in your goodness.  Thank You that I can share your love and walk in peace…

Trusting in You with all of my heart,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

“Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable.. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things…”

Philippians 4:8

He Stands By Me…

he stands by meGod is good all of the time…

He is fighting for your heart, and drawing you to Him always.

He is faithful…

Even when were not…

“Lord do not hold back your tender mercies from me.  My only hope is in your unfailing love and faithfulness.  For troubles surround me – too many to count.  They pile up so high, I can see no way out.  They are more numerous the hairs on my head.  I have lost all my courage.

Please, Lord, rescue me!  Come quickly, Lord, and help me.”

Psalm 40:11-13

How comforting it is to cry my heart out to God…

No matter what we are facing.. little or ginormous.

God cares!

Dear Lord, How I need you.  I thank You that You are near.. I come before You today, ready and willing to love others.. to walk in the light of what is good and to rely on Your many mercies to carry me through…

I give You my day believing You are fighting my battles and strengthening my heart…

I lay down what is weighing me down, and in exchange I know You are filling me with Your great love, hope and presence…

Use me today, Oh, Lord, to be a light to those who are searching.. to those who feel weighed down by their burdens…

I give You my day on purpose, thanking You and praising You that You are at work in and around my life…

When I feel I have lost all of my courage, how blessed I am to know You are right by my side…

I love You so much, Jesus…

In Your name, I pray,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

“But all who search for You be filled with joy and gladness.  May those who love your salvation repeatedly  shout, “The Lord is great!”  As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord is thinking about me right now.  You are my helper and my Savior.  Do not delay, O my God.”

Psalm 40:17

One smile can change the whole direction of our day…

a thankful heart is a happy heart  “The wisdom of Heaven s first of all peace-loving… considerate, submissive full of mercy and good fruit.  Impartial and sincere.  Peace makers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness…”

Generous Love…

oh how he loves usI was drawn to this story…

Hardened hearts, jealousy, and power.

How easy it would be to find ourselves here, if we are not aware of God’s beauty and grace..

“Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand.  Since it was the Sabbath, (and you weren’t supposed to do any work) Jesus’ enemies watched Him closely.

Would He heal this man’s hand on the Sabbath?  If He did, they planned to condemn Him.  Jesus said to the man, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” Then He turned to His critics, and asked, “Is it a day for doing harm? Is this a day to save or to destroy it? But they wouldn’t answer Him.

He looked around at them angrily, because He was deeply disturbed by their hard hearts.

Then He said to the man, “Reach out your hand.” The man reached out His hand, and it became normal again!

At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to discuss plans for killing Jesus.

Mark 3:1-6

Crazy right!  They went away and discussed plans for killing Jesus.. They wouldn’t let themselves for one minute see any good…

How scary is that…

I feel like a hardened heart creeps up on us… We let our emotions, and our plans, dictate what we want, and when we don’t get exactly what we think we should…

Bad things start to happen.

I so need to be careful to lay my heart, my dreams, and my day in God’s presence.. Thanking Him.   Basking in His word of goodness and keeping myself in check.

It’s a journey for sure.. But love should always win :)

Dear Lord, I love You.  When I read this story, it makes me want to ask for forgiveness of my own heart,  which can be so judgmental, hardened, jealous or threatened…

Today is a good day to bask in Your generous love and goodness…

How I thank You for exposing what a hard heart looks like. That we don’t have to fear, or be threatened of the beauty You pour into our hearts.. Your love and beauty is flowing through us, so we can love other’s.. just as You love us.

I love that…

Thank You so so much!

How I pray this day; my heart, my thoughts, would be an extension of Your great love…

May other’s see Your light of hope in my eyes…

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

Mark 2:17

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him..”

Peace be with you sweet friends…

Love Changes Everything…

mother theresa spread love wheverever you goDear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this sweet day.. Valentines day.  A day to remember love and how precious it is.

I pray for this world, Dear Lord, I pray more love over other’s.  I pray for the people in my life.. softened hearts, and open arms.  May I be a good representation of Your love and tender touch…

“Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast.  It is not proud, it is not rude, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preservers…

Love never fails…”

I love You, Dear Lord…

In His Eyes…

blog post graceWhatever your day has in store for you, may you walk in peace, hope, and the confidence that God is before You..

He will walk with you.  He will not leave you or forsake you…

Your strength is in Him alone…

Rejoice and be glad…

Dear Heavenly Father, how I thank You for Your loving care and gentle compassion…

Your strength..

And hope..

Are my constant companion;

and I am so grateful for Your love and grace…

I thank you for these beautiful words of truth and encouragement…

“So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

I thank you that it’s okay to be transparent.. vulnerable..

In Your presence, I can let all the walls down and know You are my biggest fan and You will always lead me into You love, hope and truth…

This world can be so hard.  We feel like we have to stand our ground.. make our point, but in you, we can just be…

Lord, thank You for teaching me how much I can trust You..

Thank You for helping me to drop the walls of protection and fear..

‘We depend on the Lord alone to save us.  Only He can help us, protecting us like a shield.  In Him our hearts rejoice, for we are trusting in His holy name.  Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.”

Psalm 33:20

How Sweet The Sound…

how sweet the sound blog“Peter said, “I swear by God, I don’t know the man.”  And immediately the roster crowed.  Suddenly Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”  And he went away, crying bitterly.

Matt 26:74-75

Can you imagine how Peter must have felt at that moment?  My heart breaks, and my body feels weak, when I think of the anguish and sadness that must have filled his heart and soul..

“He went away, crying bitterly..”

That was Peter’s only release to His heart ache…

Peter loved Jesus.  Peter loved Jesus passionately.  Peter wanted to be all about Jesus…

Peter failed…

I so know that feeling…

But that’s not the end!

Jesus loved Peter.  Jesus knew peter would struggle.  Jesus wanted Peter to  be all about His glory and grace..

I love that so so much!

If you and I have truly accepted the free gift of grace God offers.. the gift of salvation and forgiveness for our failures…

Our heart-break…

Our sins….

 Then guess what?

He loves us.  He knows we are going to struggle.  He wants us to be all about His glory and grace!

Oh Dear Lord, how awesome is Your name.  How beautiful and amazing is your glory and grace…

I come before You this new day, saying, Please forgive me.  Please open my heart… and come in… I need Your cleansing and mercy.

My heart is tired.  I am lost without You…

I love You, Jesus, and thank You for dying for my sins, and chasing after me with Your ferocious, undying, and unconditional love…

I know I have sinned.  I know I want to be beautiful in Your eyes, and I thank You for Your grace flowing through my veins..

I want to be all about You.. Your glory and grace.

May other’s see You in my eyes…

Help me to reach out my hand, that the weary sense Your touch..

Thank You for Your Amazing Grace…

I love You, Heavenly Father,

In Jesus Name,

I pray,

Amen

For the word of the Lord holds true, and everything He dies is worthy of our trust.  He loves whatever is just and good, and His unfailing love fills the earth..”

He Hasn’t Moved…

he hasn't moved blogIf today, you woke up, and suddenly feel far from God… He hasn’t moved.  His promise of hope, love and truth are the same…

Maybe, for sure, You have turned your eyes…

“Oh what a joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!”

Psalm 32:1-2

God doesn’t change.

He loves.

He forgives.

And He wants you to trust Him with all of your heart…

To live my life openly in God’s presence, knowing He is always near…cheering me on, and even crying with me is a daily choice…

Being aware of His presence, and inviting Him in to your day,  can sometimes be two very different things…

Today, make the choice to invite God into your day.. Ask Him to help you be aware of His presence…

To give you the strength to trust Him..

To help You love Him more.. To learn how to drop your walls of fear, and hear His voice of truth, hope and love…

That is a prayer that can be scary, but it changes things…

Tell Him you want to live your life in complete honesty before Him.. and to please help you not be afraid…

Dear Heavenly Father, I want to thank You for loving me.  Thank You for this bright new shinny day.  Please come into my hear,t and my day cleansing me and renewing me… I want to love You more.  Will you please help me drop my wall of fear, that I could hear Your voice calling my name… directing my path.

I want to turn from who I was, and be who You know I can be.  I want to be fully invested in Your love and plan for my life, give me the strength to accept Your love, and Your forgiveness of my many many sins.. The things that have hurt Your heart.. damaged my life.. filled my with pain or regret…

I want to lay that down before You…

I am so thankful that I can depend on You.. I can trust in You, and I can live my life out loud in complete honesty covered by Your presence, peace and hope…

I am forgiven, free and loved by You…

That is an amazing comfort…

I love You Lord…

In Jesus Name,

Amen.

Live in Love,

Lisa
