High Anxiety…

high anxiety blogIt creeps up on me like a long lost friend…

“I’m good,”  I tell myself, “I got this”… I even thank God for His peace and whisper to Him that I trust Him, and need Him…

Then from the depths of my fears… I start to acknowledge a voice I somehow think I should..

I feel anxious, rushed.. I feel myself start to obsess and worry.  I begin to condemn my thoughts, but discouragement and fear have begun to settle  in…

That voice is not my friend..

That voice turns my peace into confusion.. My hope into dismay…

That is the voice of my enemy..

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for calling my name.  Thank You that I don’t have to listen or give credence to the voice of despair.  Thank You that because of Your great love for me, I can simply look away…

” I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip.  He who watches over you will not slumber…”

Psalm 121: 1-3

Yours, Oh Lord, is the voice of comfort. and peace that transcends all understanding..

As I come before You, Father, I lay my fears, and worries down, I thank You that when I come before You, I know  I can trust You with my heart..

I know that it is Your desire that I be filled with Your hope.  Your goodness..

Your gentleness and spirit..

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again; Rejoice.  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..”

Philippians 4: 7

Your sweet voice calms and stills my spirit..

You fill me with Your goodness and grace bringing light to my eyes and hope to my soul..

For that I am so very grateful.  So today, Heavenly Father, I turn my eyes to You.  I turn away from the voice of despair and put my heart back in Your hands..

Thank You so much for Your truth.  Your Hope.  And Your goodness..

Help me to forgive.  Help me to love.  Help me to draw other’s into Your glorious light of goodness and grace..

Help me to live a life of love…

I choose You…

In Jesus Name, I pray..

Amen

Live in Love,

Lisa

Words that Hurt…

words that hurtHave you ever felt as if your words were turned against you?

Have you thought.. ” Hey, that’s not what I meant..”

Or maybe you got so caught up in wanting to help someone; that you said or did something you wished you wouldn’t have…

You didn’t pray it through.

You loved big, but you let your boundaries down?

I have so felt the sting of that pain, and regret… But how beautiful is God.  He looks within our hearts and sees our motivation.

He is our healer, friend and judge…

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this brand new day.  Thank you that when you look within my heart, You see the good You have placed in me by the blood of Jesus, my savior…

Thank you that when others see bad, I have a great hope in You who sees the good, and You will always fight for me…

It my hearts desire to open wide my hands, and my heart; and give You my day.. That I would walk in peace and love other’s the best I can…

Only by Your grace.  Thank You that You see in me the beauty of Your heart… That truly makes me feel beautiful…

I love You…

In Jesus Holy Name,

Amen

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Such beautiful words of hope and healing…

Dear Heavenly Father, how beautiful You are.  You save the humble, you see our hearts and You pierce us with Your great love… Thank You for that. Thank You that when my actions don’t match my heart.. You touch me with Your amazing grace just enough to remind me that You are near.. You are humble, and gentle.. and that gives me the strength to surrender my fight..

To be humble in spirit and mind is beautiful to You, because it mirrors You..

You amaze me.. Oh, Lord…

How I pray my heart and my actions would be pleasing to You.. That Your love would keep my lamp burning bright with Your amazing light of goodness and grace.  How I pray that other’s will see that light shining bright in and around my life…

Letting Your Gentleness Invade My Soul…

just keep swimming “Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near..”

Philippians 4:7

I love that scripture.

When my heart is feeling overwhelmed, stress or worry fighting to get in, I can see Jesus’ gentleness and kindness piercing the darkness and reminding me He is near…

No need to be worried, anxious or uptight…

(As Dori, the fish, said to Nemo :)

Just keep swimming…

“Let your gentleness be evident to all..”

Philippians 4:4

These words can pierce the darkness if you let them..  to let my gentleness be evident to those around me means I’m not fighting the battle… I am happily handing over my worries in exchange for His peace, and in turn His gentleness and spirit shine through my life… my heart and my very being…

This scripture continues…

“Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all, The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..”

Philippians 4: 4-7

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this new day.  Thank you so much that Your gentleness can consume and invade my soul and change my worry into thanksgiving and hope in who you are.. I thank You for Your peace that transcends all understanding, and praise You the You are guarding my heart and my mind..  Thank You so much for sending Jesus, Your precious Son, to cover my sin and live in my heart…

May you use my life to love others as You have loved me…

Rejoicing in who You are,

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“Come near to God and He will come near to you… humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up..”
