Sweet To The Soul…

sweet to the soul1“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones..”

Proverbs 16:26

Life is hard.

Nice words, caring eyes, and a gentle touch can encourage our dreams, lift our spirit’s and pour hope into each other’s lives..

Mean words.. Silent stares, and harsh looks will do just the opposite.. crush each other’s dreams, burden our hearts, and darken our days…

The way I see it, we all have a choice..

And I choose love..

When we love God with all of our Hearts.. When we are truly thankful for all that He has done for us.  When we have surrendered our heart’s to become more like His, then we really have no other choice..

Freedom comes only when we choose love…

“All praise to Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding His blood for us..”

Revelation 1:5b

Heavenly Father, May my words, thoughts and actions be pleasing to You… To remember that my life is an extension of You is my heart’s desire today… When I am tempted to live in the flesh… please guide me back into your presence of all that is good.. right and true…

People need hope… People need light.  Goodness and lot’s of grace…

Thank You that that is what You bleed into me.  How I pray to bleed these good things into other’s..

Lord, may my words be sweet to the soul and healing to their bones; for we never really know how heart broken, weary or anxious someone truly feels…

Help me to remember Your words…

“Love God.  Love People.”

Matthew 22:37

It matters to You, and that is enough for me..

In Jesus Holy and precious Name,

Amen

“I am the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end” says the Lord God.  “I am the one who is who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One.”

Revelation 1:8

May I be beautiful unto You, Oh Lord…

A More Perfect Love…

a may perfect lord“This is real love.  It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins…”

Sin is a word that can push us away from God’s love.  It can make us feel defensive, proud or self-righteous; and if we are not careful, we will forget that sin is why we came to Jesus in the first place…

Thank you Dear Lord for reminding me that my sin… is what drove me to want to know You.  That I will never be perfect, but I can be better.  Your love is beautiful, and it’s my hearts desire to shine of all that You are to me…

1 John 4:10

Dear Lord, coming before You this new day… wanting to be a reflection of all that You are .

Thank You for standing by my side, even when I am ashamed or saddened by the things I say or do… Your great love and forgiveness draws me right back into Your presence and fills me with love, hope, and your beautiful truths…

Cleanse me from darkness and keep me in the light…

May my heart be sensitive to all that You are to me.  All that You have done and saved me from.

You are my rock.  My fortress. And my Redeemer…

How beautiful You are.

I love You, Jesus…

In Your Name

I pray,

Amen

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in Him.  God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.  And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect…”

1 John 4:16

May my love grow more perfect…

Have an awesome day!

Rumors…

  Three pretty powerful words…

Have. You. Heard.

How many times have you or I been at the end of these words, or maybe even the one saying them?

rumorsOoooo…  about a zillion!

Lol!!!

It’s just so easy.  It’s usually never done with an agenda, or an angry heart… and it’s most likely never done to hurt someone…

But when I think about the repercussions it’s sad…

“What dainty morsels rumors are, but they sink deep into one’s heart…”

Proverbs 26:22

Rumors can destroy somebody’s heart and life for sure…

High School was the worst.  With all of our insecurities and awkwardness, it was easy to jump on a band wagon about someone else…

But as an adult, I hope to be a better example to my children, and the people in my life;  there has been times I have failed for sure, but if we keep our heart’s fixed on loving and protecting other’s, then together maybe we can help curb other’s from the pain of a rumor…

“Love always protects.”

1 Corinthians 13:7

Good Morning, Dear Heavenly Father… Rumors.. Uggg!  Thank You so much for showing me a glimpse of the pain and hurt a rumor can cause.. that a rumor sinks deeply into one’s heart…

How I don’t want to be the one who causes anyone to feel that pain, and how I thank You for Your constant love keeping me in the light, and gently reminding me to live in love…

Today, if I am faced with a rumor.. please, Dear Lord, make me aware, and give me the love and kindness to know how to react… That would me awesome.

I love You, Jesus,

In Your name, I pray..

Amen

The gossip trap..

the gossip trapThis so spoke to my heart this morning…

“Fire goes out for lack of fuel, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.”

Proverbs 26:20

I so don’t like that feeling of getting caught up in talking about something, or someone..

It’s like a roller coaster of highs and lows.. isn’t it?

Talking about someone, then trying to fix what you may have said.. talking about someone’s life, or problem all in the name of love never feels right, does it?

When other’s feel comfortable, even vulnerable in opening up their hearts and problems to us, it’s personal.

It’s sweet and good..

When we talk to other’s about what they have confined in us, it just feels bad.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You… It does feel bad when I am involved in a conversation that I shouldn’t be.. and I seek Your loving hand of forgiveness and truth..

Love covers a multitude of sin.

It is patient.  It is kind.  It is good.  It is gentle.  How I pray my conversations would be filled with love.  May my spirit be patient, gentle and filled with kindness.  That my heart would be set free of the burden of judgment, or condemnation of other’s…

Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience…

Colossians 3:12

I love You Jesus…

Thank You for setting my heart free..

In Jesus, sweet and beautiful name, I pray

Amen

“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone..”

Colossians 4:6

I love this solid truth…

Live in Love,

Good and Kind Things…

good and kind things” We ask God to give you complete understanding of what He wants to do in your lives, and we ask Him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom.

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind thing for others and all the while you will learn to know God better and better..”

Colossians 1: 9-10

Those are the Apostle Paul’s words over the people of Colosse, who were His brothers and sisters in Christ..

How I pray the same over you and me…

Good Morning, Dear Heavenly Father…

How I thank You for all Your beauty and grace flowing around my heart.

As I come before You, this beautiful new morning, may these words be true in my life as I pray for your strength, and seek understanding of what You are doing in my life. How  I ask You to make me wise with spiritual wisdom that my mind would be able to settle on solid ground…

That the way I live will honor and please you..

Help me to take my eyes off of myself, and to keep them on You so I wont miss those opportunities to be kind and to do good…

I like that plan…

In Jesus Name,

Amen

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord..”

Psalm 31:24

Kindness…

kindness matters“Your own soul is nourished when you are kind, but you destroy yourself when you are cruel..”  Proverbs 11:17

Have you ever felt like this?

You just had a conversation with someone, and it didn’t go very well.  They said something that either rubbed you the wrong way, or maybe felt like a jab at your heart… you walk away feeling a little uneasy, maybe burdened..you’re not sure what just happened, but inside you wish you would have been a little nicer…

I have… and I so hate that feeling!

When we looked at what Jesus told the Religious leaders about the greatest commandment…..” Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your souls and with all your mind.  We didn’t look at the rest of what He said, which was this…

“And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself  “

Can you see a correlation here?

When we are kind our very own souls are nourshied…and when we love other people as we love ourselves, we are walking hand in hand with God’s own heart, and that is a beautiful feeling :)

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for your kindness and hope in every situation!  Dear Lord, when we are feeling uncomfortable, or our hearts are feeling threatened, will you remind us that You are near… that we can take a deep breath, and let Your love penetrate our thoughts helping us to respond in a way that nourishes our very own souls, and the joy alive in our hearts.. That would be awesome!

We love, and need your goodness so very much…

 In Jesus’s Name,

Amen

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life..” Proverbs 13:12

I can so relate to that heart-sick feeling… that longing of hope when there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel.  Does someone you know need an outstretched hand of hope today?  I am praying for us to have the eyes to see our heart-sick friend, neighbor acquaintance, co-worker, grocery store clerk, just anyone in our day that might need to know we see them, and that they matter.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to be kind, to notice a bleeding heart, and use us to encourage them, even if it’s just a smile.

We love you Jesus.

Amen

God Bless you, Sweet Friend,

Lord, May My Words be Kind….

small things with great love  “May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14.

As I read these sweet words, His love and goodness fills my heart, and beckons me to want to want to be a better person… Oh Sweet Friend, How I am praying for us that

Love will win today…

Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to shine of your love and tenderness to those in our day…especially to the hurting and downcast. Lord, may our words be kind, and thoughts be focused on your beauty and grace.  Thank you so much for being our rock, our redeemer and the lover of our soul.. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Happy Valentines Day,
